Tumble Dryers

There are three types of Tumble Dryer, Why not use our handy guide to discover which one suits your needs the best.

Condenser

Condenser tumble dryers can be plugged into the wall anywhere in the house, theres no need for a vent as all the water which created is deposited into a container. During the drying process the warm damp air is condensed. These often have a better energy rating than vented tumble dryers

Vented

Vented tumble dryers are one of the more popular types of dryer and whilst they often cost more to run they are often not as expensive to purchase. These vent the warm damp air through a hose which needs to be connected out of a wall, window vent or into an aftermarket collection box.

Heat Pump

Known as either Heat pump condenser dryers or more simply heat pump dryers, these are alot more energy efficent than other types of dryers but they are more expensive to purchase. They work in a manner similar to condenser dryers but reheat the air that is circulating within the dryer, the hot air that passes through the drum absorbing moisture which is filterd partily cooled so that the moisture is removed via condensation and then the warm air is re-heated and passed back through the drum keeping the energy within the machine.
