freesat was set up to ensure that everyone can access the best of free digital TV, no matter where they live in the UK. freesat is a not-for-profit company owned by the nation's two most popular broadcasters, the BBC and ITV.
freesat brings you over 140 great digital TV and radio channels. Favourites like BBC Three, BBC Four, ITV2, ITV3, More 4 and Film Four are all yours, with no contract and no monthly bills.
Plus freesat offers up to 70 hours a week of HD from the BBC and ITV at no extra cost.
What about the digital switch over?
In 2008 the UK started switching over to digital TV, area by area, and by 2012 we'll all be digital. Once you have freesat, you'll already be watching digital TV, so as the switchover happens in your area, you won't need to do a thing.
High definition
High definition (HD) gives you up to five times more picture detail than standard TV meaning deeper, richer, more lifelike pictures, plus stunning surround sound that puts you at the centre of the action.

An integrated digital TV (IDTV) (prices vary according to screen size) which is an HDTV with freesat HD built in will be perfect for you. And, because the freesat receiver is built in to the TV, you won't need a separate digital box.
Don´t forget
When choosing your product, always look for the logo — all genuine equipment has the freesat logo displayed on the equipment and packaging.
